74) Should you do it? Do the Cost vs Benefit Analysis.

74) Should you do it?

Do the Cost vs Benefit Analysis.

You have to do many tasks and there are some tasks that you don’t feel like doing.
Do the Cost vs Benefit Analysis to decide.

For example, you want to call a friend for an appointment to show him a new proposal. However, your mind tells you not to do it. There are lots of excuses & negative feeling running in your mind.

Example:
a) What if he doesn’t want it?
b) What if he scolds you?
c) What if he already got it?
d) Lots of other “What if?”

The problem is your mind will create lots of excuses and make you think too much on uncertain things.

The solution is to just decide to do it and find out the actual situation. You will often find out that most of the “What if?” do not exist.

“YOU GET BETTER AT WHATEVER YOU PRACTISE.”

If you still not motivated to do the calling, just do the Cost vs Benefit.

What is the Cost?
a) Money: The cost of a phone call.
b) Energy: The effort to make a phone call & talk to a friend
c) Time: 5 minutes to talk and ask for an appointment.

What is the Benefit?
a) You get to meet him to explain your proposal.
b) He may be interested in your proposal and wants it.
c) You will be rewarded for your effort.

When you find out that the Cost is very small compared to the large Benefits, you will be confident to do the call.

When you do something good and share your knowledge to help others, it should motivate you to do that call.
